Start by creating your Archetype: pick a race and a class to form one of 48 combinations, each with its own skill tree. Then follow the main quest out of Earlwood Village, learn to read enemy telegraphs, and gather materials so you can craft your first equipment and potions. The Early Access level cap is 25, so pace your skill points and experiment with different spell loadouts before committing to a build.

Dimraeth uses stamina-based Souls-lite combat. Every attack, dodge, block and parry costs stamina, so you need to manage your bar carefully. Enemies telegraph their attacks before committing, which gives you a window to parry for a counterattack or dodge through the strike. Learning each enemy's patterns is the key to clean fights, especially against elites and world bosses.

Dimraeth supports seamless drop-in/drop-out co-op for up to eight players. Your level, equipment, inventory and spells travel with you between worlds, while story progress, recruited allies and buildings stay tied to the world where you earned them. This means you can join a friend's world to help with a boss and keep everything you gain, but the host's story advances for both of you.

Dimraeth has three main crafting loops: forging equipment at crafting stations and the village forge, brewing potions from ingredients gathered in the world, and cooking meals that permanently raise your vitality. Recipes are discovered through experimentation and by upgrading ally facilities, so investing materials into your allies expands the recipes available to you.

There is no single best class — it depends on your playstyle and whether you play solo or co-op. The Magician blends elemental spells with weapon strikes and is great for consistent ranged damage. The Brawler is an agile close-combat specialist with grappling tools. The Shadow is the new Early Access class built for stealth and high mobility. Dimraeth launches Early Access with 8 playable races. Confirmed so far are the Minotaur, a towering bull-headed warrior known for intelligence and raw strength; the Human, the most populous race prized for adaptability; and the Elf, a new race focused on magic and agility. Five additional races remain to be revealed during Early Access updates, each with male and female options, racial skill trees and passive abilities.

Dimraeth Early Access launches September 15, 2026 with a level cap of 25. Mudtek has confirmed the elf race, the Shadow class, an expanded Wildwood, and the Goblin Caves region for launch, plus nine unique pets and new difficulty levels in the first EA update. The team promises a fuller roadmap closer to release, so keep an eye on official announcements.
